SANS SOUCI

Just south of Parry Sound along the eastern Georgian Bay shoreline, in front of the midway point of Massassauga Provincial Park, is the boat access only cottage region of Sans Souci.  In the heart this portion of the 30,000 islands archipelago waterfront cottages dot the shorelines of the mainland and island properties.

Land Access connections that serve the San Souci cottaging region include Woods Bay Marina to the east, 12 Mile Bay Moose Deer Point Marina to the south and numerous marinas to the north in Parry Sound Harbour.  Many resorts, shopping establishments, attractions and community services are available in Parry Sound, Mac Tier and surrounding areas.

Serving cottagers and the Community in this area is the Sans Souci and Copperhead Association click here which was founded in 1903 and operates a community centre: Summer activities include a day camp, yoga classes, tennis, occasional lectures, ecumenical Sunday church services, an annual regatta and arts and crafts show,  The Sans Souci Community Centre is open to members as well as the general public.

Most of the waterfront properties in San Souci are secluded from the marine route of the eastern coast of Georgian Bay: Midland in the south to Parry Sound and points north.  Cottages here are water access only.

This “remote” feature bodes well in terms of investing in waterfront real estate properties where privacy and exclusivity are strong selling points.  Hydro and phone lines service much of the region.
